How a job runs
Turning up on time, clear communication, and detailed quotes and reports so there are no unexpected surprises. Five stages, and you know where you stand at every one of them.
Step one
Nine times out of ten a couple of photos and a phone call tell us roughly where you sit before anyone drives anywhere.
Step two
The tree, the access, what is underneath it, and what you actually want out of the property. The assessment is part of the quote, not an extra.
Step three
Itemised and in writing, so there are no unexpected surprises. If what you need is a report rather than a chainsaw, we will tell you that instead.
Step four
Turning up on time is half the job. The only people on your property are our employees and our trusted business partners, and everyone is covered.
Step five
We clean up, rake off and walk the site with you. We never ask for money before the work is completed.

Climbing and consulting arborist
Daniel has been swinging from the trees since he finished school. He loves to climb and he is also the details man, looking after tree report writing, assessments and quoting. Twenty plus years across private, commercial and contracting work, and he is involved in national industry safety committees and writing industry standards.
Arborist and landscape specialist
Jason is a Diploma qualified arborist with a passion for trees and landscaping, and twenty plus years across small to large projects in the private and commercial sectors. He has extensive knowledge of North Queensland species, growth habit and site suitability, and he is our expert on trees near powerlines, complex removals and storm and cyclone clean up including insurance work.
Why we bother
Pruning, removal, or replanting with a species that actually suits the spot. We weigh up the health of the tree, the risk it carries and what you want the property to look like, then we tell you honestly which of the three it should be.

The only people who will work on your property are Yard By Yard employees and our trusted business partners. Everyone has the horticultural and arboricultural background the job needs, and we will all be familiar with your landscape needs.
We have all necessary licences and we carry insurance for all of our work, with cover to $20 million, because we deliver projects for councils and government departments. We also hold professional indemnity insurance for our tree reports and assessments to $1 million.
